Hard to believe there could be a lighthearted moment during a shooting, but you can always count on Days of Our Lives to find the funny where they can — and Tuesday’s episode was no exception.
Despite the scary circumstances of the drug cartel traveling to Salem to kill Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin), and the fact that some goon did shoot Stefan (Tyler Christopher), there was still a light moment for those detectives in love, Lani (Sal Stowers) and Eli (Lamon Archey).
Just as Eli and Lani arrived at the scene of the shooting — Doug’s Place — Stefan made the crack, “Well if it isn’t Crocket and Tubbs,” referring to the crime-fighting team from the show Miami Vice that starred Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas back in the mid-1980s.
Eli was completely confused by the reference, stunning his girlfriend who apparently watched the repeats over and over again while growing up — in Miami, of course.
So while Eli may have been clueless about the iconic TV series, a fan tweeted actor Lamon Archey, hoping that at least he had heard of the popular NBC drama.

The actor actually responded to the tweet, probably making the poor fan (and the rest of the Internet) feel incredibly old when he said, “I had no clue either. I had to use my googles.”
The fact that he had no idea either about the famous pair makes the DAYS banter even funnier.
