Hope is in for quite the shock tomorrow on “Days of Our Lives” when she discovers her allegedly dead husband, Aiden, is very much alive.
The last time we saw Aiden (or think we saw Aiden), he was lying on Hope’s living room floor dead after Bo (Peter Reckell) shot him in a struggle. The last thing Hope (Kristian Alfonso) remembered when she came that night was that Aiden was trying to strangle her.
But, hold on–not so fast. According to the May 16 issue of Soap Opera Digest, it turns out that wasn’t Aiden at all, but a look-alike planted by Andre–says Aiden. When Hope finds him, she delivers him right to the Salem PD and he insists on only talking to her. Hope tells him to inform her and he gives his account of what happens that night.
Remember when Aiden seemed to chicken out of killing Hope and left her house after their wedding night liaison? Well, according to Aiden, Andre (Thaao Penghlis) then kidnapped him and placed him in a cage after ordering his doppelganger to kill Hope instead.

Hope doesn’t quite buy Aiden’s story, according to Digest. She insists this man has to be the lookalike, but oddly, Aiden’s fingerprints have disappeared from the PD files.
Actor Daniel Cosgrove admits he was surprised when asked to return to DAYS just weeks after Aiden seemed dead. He told Soap Opera Digest he thought it was a joke at first, but after realizing it was real, he was happy to go back to work.
