The Bold and the Beautiful puts a lot of thought into the names of its characters. So, when Brooke and Ridge had a little girl, it only made sense that the newborn’s handle would be a combination of theirs – and so Bridget was literally born.
The role’s been played by many actresses over the years, most notably three-time Emmy-winner Jennifer Finnigan and Ashley Jones. Here’s a look back at the life of Bridget Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful.
Paternity Puzzle
She entered the world during the December 31, 1992 air show, when Brooke gave birth at the Big Bear cabin. Ironically, Bridget learned as a young girl that there’d been a mix-up in her paternity test. Ridge wasn’t her dad — Eric was! She tried to process this as best she could, never dreaming the complications it would cause her later in life.
My Mother, My Rival
As a young woman, Bridget fell for bad boy Deacon, who ended up having a passionate affair with Brooke! “I know the truth, Mother!” blasted Bridget to her mom after she learned of the deep betrayal. Bridget somehow was able to move past this and help deliver Brooke’s daughter with Deacon, her half-sister, Hope, when she was born.
The Nick Of Time
Bridget had a frustrating romance with Nick Marone, Ridge’s half-brother, complicated by her feelings for Dante Damiano. Once again, Bridget had to compete with her own mother for a man’s love. Two of Bridget and Nick’s weddings were interrupted by family drama: the first one was halted after Taylor came back from the dead.
Another trip to the altar was put on hold after Stephanie confessed that she never did have a heart attack. This prompted Bridget to vow never wanting to be in a room with Steph again because of the pain she caused her mother!

The Latest In Lab Coats
Like many of her family members, Bridget took an interest in designing fashion. She also went to medical school and became a doctor! After getting trapped in a mineshaft, Bridget shared a kiss with Ridge — the man she once thought was her dad! In time, her crush on Ridge faded.
Her Knight In Shining Armor
Even away from Nick, Bridget couldn’t seem to stay away from triangles. She entered a romance with Owen Knight and gave birth to his son, Logan, but Owen was in love with Jackie Marone.
Owen and Jackie split, leaving him to raise his son with Bridget. Occasionally, Bridget returns to Los Angeles for weddings and other Forrester family functions. The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
