Sibling rivalry is a hallmark of soaps including The Bold and the Beautiful. In the show’s early days, Logan teens Katie and Donna vied for the affections of bad boy Rocco Carner. Today, the stakes are even higher as Katie’s competing against her big sister Brooke for her ex-husband Bill!

Perhaps “competing” isn’t the right word. Bill (Don Diamont) loves Katie (Heather Tom) deeply and they share a son, Will (Finnegan George). However, Bill is often compelled to be there for Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang). Should Katie forgive Brooke for kissing Bill in a moment of weakness or not? Soap Hub posed this question to BB fans. Sister Act
Nearly 63% of you say that yes, Katie should forgive Brooke. She’s tried to cut her sister out of her life in the past and that simply hasn’t worked. If (and granted, this is a big “if”) Katie can accept the fact that Brooke and Bill will always be attracted to one another, but they (this time) refuse to act on it, then it’s quite possible that Katie can move forward and have a relationship with her sister. Brooke should encourage Katie’s forgiveness. She’s always getting into messes and Donna (Jennifer Gareis) is not always around to act as a sounding board.

Kisses Have Consequences
The rest of you, just over 37% of The Bold and the Beautiful fans polled, say that no, Katie should not forgive Brooke. You feel that Brooke has hurt Katie too many times. Sure, Katie once encouraged a relationship between her husband and her sister, but she was, at the time, suffering from postpartum depression following the birth of Will. And Bill and Brooke knew this! Katie can be the adult — again — and forgive Brooke (and Bill for that matter). But who will she have to blame the next time Brooke’s in turmoil, starts crying, and locks eyes with Bill?
Let’s Make A Deal
Brooke and Bill will have to make an arrangement not to be alone with one other. Katie’s going to need something that will reassure her she won’t be made into a fool if and when she forgives Brooke one more time! The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
