We still don’t know when The Bold and the Beautiful back on the air with new episodes, but one of the show’s plot points left hanging earlier this year is being teased by one of the show’s cast members!
Denise Richards On A Happy Shauna
Denise Richards (Shauna) recently chatted with People TV about her career as a “Bond Girl” (she appeared in the James Bond film The World Is Not Enough as Dr. Christmas Jones in 1999), The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and, of course, her time on BB.
In one of the show’s most recent original episodes, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) returned from his Las Vegas trip where he went to visit Shauna and things were left vague as to what happened in Sin City. Now, thanks to Richards, we’ve learned that her on-screen alter-ego is married!
“When the show will be returning, I don’t know,” Richard says. “I haven’t shot anything with the show since people have seen my character get married. I’ve gotten about 10 scripts since then. There’s some exciting stuff coming up.”
Asked if she could be more specific as to what developments fans will see, Richards teased, “Shauna is very happy.”

Of course, Richards didn’t specifically say to whom Shauna is married, but being tied to Ridge will certainly provide the most dramatic bang. Once again, Ridge and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) will have been torn apart. An annulment or quickie divorce is all that’s needed to make this new union go away, but will Ridge really want it to?
He may not be able to forgive Brooke for her recent indiscretion with Bill (Don Diamont). And it’s clear that Ridge and Shauna have chemistry and that she cares for him deeply. Is it possible that Mrs. Shauna Forrester might want to stay married to her groom?
One thing’s for sure, Richards recommends that all actors do a soap opera at one point in their careers because after doing so, everything else will appear easy to do! “I’d never done a soap opera before and I think every actor needs to do one,” she says, citing that the pace of production has caused her to step up her game.
“I’m shocked at how many pages I can memorize. My first big day on BB I had over 50 pages! [I asked] how am I going to do this? Somehow, I did it!” The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
