The Bold and the Beautiful Star Rena Sofer Embarks On A New Journey!

As Quinn, Rena Sofer has broken a lot of furniture and pricey knickknacks in the Forrester mansion during her battles with Kimberlin Brown’s Sheila on The Bold and the Beautiful. Now, Sofer’s taking on a new endeavor that creates items for the home!

Sofer, an Emmy-winner for her role as Lois on General Hospital, has been on the back burner for a bit on B&B. So she’s made productive use of her time by taking on a new hobby—— woodworking!

The actress says she’s always loved woodworking and has been an “amateur wood geek” for quite some time.

As her 50th birthday approaches, Sofer started asking questions as to what else she wanted to achieve in her life, so she decided to give turning her hobby into something more!

So I started this new journey in my life. I have always loved woodworking and have been an amateur wood geek for many years. I never fully learned how to really make things “correctly” but as a “wing it” woodworker I have done ok. As my 50th birthday fast approaches I have been thinking about my life. What am I doing? What am I here for? What inspires me? What do I still want to learn and achieve. One thing that really hit me hard was I love to work with wood. ( no sex jokes please!!🤦🏻‍♀️) I have always had a passion for interesting wood furniture and art pieces. I never thought I could really do it. I was simply scared. Of what? I don’t really know. Then I looked to my daughters and saw how incredibly artistic they are and in so many different ways. @avaloni3 is a musician and artist, @msidney is another incredible artist, drawing painting and film and @rosabelrosalind is a genius. I felt inspired by them and thought I can’t stop myself anymore. Maybe that’s what turning 50 is all about! Maybe that’s what it’s about for me. I have another ( hopefully) half a life ahead of me so I want to accomplish something now that feeds MY SOUL. I raised (and still raising) amazing girls, women, and now it’s time for me. Lots of learning ahead of me and I’m so excited. So to everyone who follows my life here on #instagram here are my first cutting boards and #woodturning bowls. AND I HAD THE TIME OF MY LIFE MAKING THEM!!! I will share more in the future and I hope I can inspire those out there who think, I can’t do this… or I’m too old to start… to get out there, like me, and discover what you love. What scares you.
